What a powerful exercise, Venus! And a powerful gift of a reading with you! Here's what I got: I feel peace. The peace of a sleeping baby all secure and guarded by the greater ones. I feel the stress drain from my body as I merge with the bear. I smell my musty fur and the dust near my nose. I hear my mama snuffling and grunting nearby. I feel her wariness of strangers nearby.

This was so fascinating that I'm going to try it with other photos and share the practice with my students! Thank you, Venus!

How beautiful it is Venus. The first thing I sensed was the smell of the earth, and that made me feel peaceful. The rock -a solid foundation for this beautiful innocent creature. Innocence came to me because when we first come to the earth we are innocent. We are already equipped with everything we need. So many get lost along the way. But it is always there for us to tap into.

Venus, what an exquisitely beautiful blog and picture.
Your calm and empathy emanates from every pixel on the screen.
I haven't been doing as much meditation, or just quiet time, as I feel I probably should but like Sandy, just being on your page and savoring the pic of the bear cub somehow created breathing room.
My place is the ocean ~ I grew up on the exquisite beaches of South Africa and it was always the salt in the air and the sound of the surf's rhythm that soothed my soul.
And while I can't always hear my inner voice, I'm learning to take the time to listen and most importantly, Act on it's guidance.
